ORDINANCE NO. 14 9SO
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING
PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTION DATES IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, FOR 2008.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Chapter 115 RSMo., 2008 Municipal Elections are hereby
established for the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as follow:
(a) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, February 5, 2008, if needed.
(b) A General Election shall be held Tuesday, April 8, 2008.
(c) The City Clerk shall notify the County Election Authorities of the candidates
for office and election dates.
• (d) The following officials shall be elected in accordance with the Charter and
Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri
(1) Five City Council Members, one from each of the five Wards, shall
be elected to a 2-year term;
Section 3. Declarations of Candidacy and Candidate Endorsement Forms must
be filed with the City Clerk between 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, and 5:00
p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2007.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
