We feel that we have put together an extremely knowledgeable and experienced Design -Build Team consisting of all well-known and respected designers and contractors. You will note after reviewing our design plans that we are proposing to maintain two-way traffic at all times during construction, instead of a single -lane traffic approach required. It is our experience on previous projects that single -lane options do not provide adequate safety. The new bridge consists of a four span AASHTO Type - III superstructure, 24 inch prestressed conc. piles & C.I.P. bent system. * SR5 (US 1) Jewfish Creek Ramp Bridges, Key Largo, Florida, 1992-94 FDOT Dist. - Six Project Manager and Senior Engineer for the preparation of bridge plans for two, access ramp interchanges. The South access ramps consist of approximately 1200 linear feet of two lane bridge structure with six foot shoulders. The design of the ramps include the design of a 120 foot span tie-in along the alignment of the main bridge. The access ramps themselves include almost 90 degree curves with a 56 foot radius. These bridges will provide access from a proposed high level bridge over Jewfish Creek to the adjacent existing causeway.
