Special Session - Call to Order 5:30 PM
A. Roll Call
The City of Tiffin City Council held a special council meeting/work session Tuesday, October 26,
2021, at the City Hall Council Chambers. Mayor Pro Tem Havens called the meeting to order at
5:35 PM. Upon roll being called the following members were present: Chris Olney, Skylar
Limkemann, Jim Bartels, Al Havens. Absent: Mayor Berner. Eric Schnedler arrived at 6:18 PM.
Others present City Administrator Doug Boldt, City Clerk Abigail Hora, Building Official Brian
Shay and others.
B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval
Motion to approve agenda by Limkemann.
Second by Olney.
All ayes, agenda approved.
C. Discussion and Review of Report for Law Enforcement Assessment and Potential Future
Direction with Johnson County Sheriffs Office Law Enforcement Contract
Discussion: City Administrator Doug Boldt discussed the future for Tiffins law enforcement
with Johnson County Office.
D. Discussion and Review of New Hazardous Substance Spills Ordinance, Fire Safety Permit
Ordinance, False Alarm Ordinance and Amendments to the 2018 International Fire Code
Discussion: City Administrator Doug Boldt and Council Person Limkemann discussed the big
picture for the fire department. Council Person Schnedler arrived at 6:18 PM.
E. Discussion and Consideration of Tiffins Federal ARPA Funds
Discussion: Council Person Limkemann discussed the conversations that formed from the joint
entities meeting along with City Administrator Doug Boldt.
F. Questions from Council Members regarding items on the Regular City Council Agenda
G. Other Business
H. Adjournment
Motion to adjourn by Schnedler.
