Councilmen Green, Morris, Rowe and Higgins. answered the roll call. Councilman Byork was absent. Also present were City Attorney Murphy and Acting City Manager Johnson. It was the consensus of Council that Councilman Byork's absence be excused. It was moved by Councilman Morris, seconded by Council- man Green, and carried, that minutes of adjourned regular meeting of November 21, 1978 and regular meeting of November 21, 1978 be approved as written. PROCLAMATION It was moved by Councilman Morris, seconded by Coun- cilman Green, and carried, that December 10 - 16, 1978 be designated "Bill of Rights Week." CITY CLERK'S AGENDA Fire Fighters' It was moved by Councilman Morris, seconded by Coun- Variety Show Gilman Rowe, that request from Lynwood Fire Fighers' app'd Association for permission to hold annual Lynwood Fire Fighters' Variety Show in March, 1979, be approved. Councilman Green requested an accounting of donations and contributions. Fire Fighter Dan Smith, Vice President of the Lynwood Fire Fighters' Association, stated that donations are made, as follows, Lynwood High School for Scholarship Find (5300); Lynwood Little League ($175); Park and Recreation (5400); Cancer Society ($20); and Davis Dispatch ($50): Council re- quested Fire Fighter Smith to provide Council an account- from the promoter. The Acting City Manager reported that the Department of Energy is accepting proposals from state and local governments for Electrig Vehicle Demonstration Project. The purpose of the project is to reduce dependence on foreign oil by demonstrating uses for electric vehicles. Participatign in the prgject will enable the City to modernize its fleet thrqugh the purchase of 15 electric vans and pickup trucks.
