REGULAR MEETING MAY 15~ 1979
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in a raga-
lar session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, on
above date at 8:Op p.m.
Mayor Morris in tie chair.
Councilmen Byork, Green, Higgins, Rowe, and. Morris
answered the roll call.
Also present were City Attorney Murphy and City Mana~
gar Valliere.
It was moved by Councilman Higgins, seconded by Council
man Byork, and carried, that minutes of" the adjourned
regular meeting o~ May 1, 1979 and regular meeting of`
May 1, 1979, be approved as written.
ORDINANCES
Ordinance An ORDINANCE entitled: "AN ORDTNANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL

PROCLAMATIONS
Proclamation The Mayor read a proclamation designating the week of
Hire a Vet°n May 28 to June 3, 1979 as "Hire a Veteran Week." It

Counc~.l discussed Section 1727 (d) of the :Lynwood City
Code relative to waiver of business license for curia
table organizations. Mr. Jim Morton, President of` the
Chamber of Commerce., advised that 20% of the receipts
derived are to be apportioned to the Chamber. Councilor
,.-. man Green withdrew his motion. It wds moved by Couneil~
man Higgins, seconded by Councilman Green, and carried,
that Council waive 20~ of the business license fee.
