Councilmen Byork, Green, Higgins, Rowe, and. Morris answered the roll call. Also present were City Attorney Murphy and City Mana~ gar Valliere. It was moved by Councilman Higgins, seconded by Council man Byork, and carried, that minutes of" the adjourned regular meeting o~ May 1, 1979 and regular meeting of` May 1, 1979, be approved as written. ORDINANCES Ordinance An ORDINANCE entitled: "AN ORDTNANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL 1st read re OF THE CITY OF LY~IWOOD AMENDING SECTION "19-5~ OF THE speed limits CODE OF THE CITY QF LYNWOOD RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS ON designated CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS," was presented for first streets reading. It was moved by Councilman Higgins, seconded by Councilman Rowe, and carried, that the Ordinance be read by title only. It was moved by Councilman Higgins, seconded by Councily man Byork, that tie ordinance be introduced. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Byork, Green, Higgins, Rowe, and Morris. Noes: None. Absento None. Ord. 1067 ORDINANCE No. 106`7 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY re animal COUNCIL OF THE CZ~Y OF LYNWOOD AMENDING SEC~'ION 503 control. OF THE CODE OF TH~ CITY OF LYNWOOD RELATING TO ANIMAL CONTROL." was presented. It was moved by Council- man Higgins, seconded by Councilman Green, and carried9 that the ordinance be read by title only. It was moved by councilman Higgins, seconded by Councii~ man Byork, that QRDINANCE N0. `1067 be adopted. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Byork, Green, Higgins, Rowe, and Mor°ris. Noes: None. Absent: None. PROCLAMATIONS Proclamation The Mayor read a proclamation designating the week of Hire a Vet°n May 28 to June 3, 1979 as "Hire a Veteran Week." Mr. Jim Morton, President of` the Chamber of Commerce., advised that 20% of the receipts derived are to be apportioned to the Chamber. Councilor ,.-. man Green withdrew his motion.
