A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE RESUI.,T OF THE
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON
APRIL 10 1956
Be it resolved. by the City Council of the City of Lynwood.
as follows:
WHEREAS, the General Mun�cipal Election was held and. con-
d.ucted in the City of Lynwood, Sta.te of California, on the lOth d.ay
of April, 1956 as required by law, and
WHEREAS, it appears that Notice of said election was d.uly
and. legally given, that voting precincts were properly established,
that election of'f'icers were appointed and election supplies furnished,
that sample ballots and polling place cards were mailed to a11 quali-
fied registered voters in the City of' Lynwood, and that in a11 res-
pects said election was held and. cond.ucted and. the votes cast thereat
received and canvassed, and the returns thereof ma.de and declared in
time, f'orm, and. manner as required. by the laws of the State of Cali-
fornia governing elections in General Law cities, and in further
compliance with the Elections Cod.e of said State, and all the laws
pertaining thereto, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood met at
the Council Chamber of the City Ha11 on Tuesday, the 17th d.ay of
April 1956 to canvass the returns of said election and install the
newly elected officers, as a result of which the Council finds that
the number of votes cast, the names of the persons voted f'or, and.
other matters required. by la.w, to be as hereinafter stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of' Lynwood. as follows:
That said regular municipal election was held. and cond.ucted.
in the City of' Lynwood on Tuesday, the 1(7th day of April Z956 in
time, form, and manner as required b�r law;
That there were sixteen voting precincts established for
the purpose of holding said election, consisting of a consolidation

of the regular election precincts established.for holding general
State and County elections, as follows:

Precincts l, 3, 47.
Voting Precinct 2, consisting of L�nwood_ City
Precincts 2, 6, 35.

That the names of the persons voted. for, the offices for
which they were voted, the number of votes given in each Voting Pre-
cinct to each of said persons, together with the whole number of votes
which they received. in the entire city, are as follows:

Therefore, it is hereby declared that the following
persons were elected to the office of inember of the City �ouncil
of the City of Lynwood for the full term of four years:
Arnold E. Finch
Lloyd F. Summers
Robert B. Compton
The City Clerk shall enter on the record.s of the City
Council a statement of' the result of �he General Municipal Election
showing the whole number of votes cast, the names of the persons voted
f'or, and the number of votes given to each of such persons, all as
required. by law.
The City Clerk shall also immediately make and deliver to
each of such persons elected a certificate of election, signed by him
and duly authenticated; he shall also impose the constitutional oath
of office and have subscribed. to, whereupon, they shall be inducted
into the respective offices to which they have been elected..
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 17th day of April 1956
