A RESOLUTION PASSING UPON OBJECTIONS, AND
DIRECTING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS TO
ABATE THE NUISANCE OF DRY �ND DRYING WEEDS
TH�T EXIST ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, California
did on the 21st day of February 1956 adopt Resolution No 2638
relating to the abatement of dry and d.rying weed.s on certain parcels
of land in the City of' Lynwood, and.
WHEREAS, d.ue notice was given to d.estroy such weeds by
posting "Notice to Destroy Weed.s" notices as required. by law, and.
WHEREAS, at the time and. place fixed for the hearing of
protests and objections to said. matter, a hearing was duly held. and
no written or oral objections were made, either in writing or orally,
to the d.oing of' said work, and.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood. has con-
sidered all of' the facts and is fully inf'ormed in the matter; that
they have acquired jurisdiction to proceed and. perform the work of
removal of said nuisances,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of
Streets of the City of Lynwood. be and he is hereby instrfcted to abate
the nuisances described. in said Resolution No 2638 by having said.
nuisance referred. to removed, and. he and his assistants are hereby
expressly authorized to enter upon private property for that purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any property owners shall have
the right to have any such nuisance removed and. abated at his own
_.expense, provided such work is done prior to the time the work is done
by the Superintendent of Streets, If the work is d.one by the property
owner, no charge sha11 be mad.e by the City of Lynwood..
