';"rIF.;REAS, petitions under the Vehicle Par?�.ng Act of 194�3, as amended,
for the ��reation of a. Vehicle P�rking District were filed in the office of tne
City Cler'� of this City Council on or about October 18 1955 ��d said betitions
were dulv si�,ned by tlie repuisite number of aualified signers; and
VdI�REAS, this Cit�T Council by Resolution No. 2629 ordering a report
under th� Sroecial Assessment Investigation, Limit�.tion and Ma.jority Protest Act of
19�1, a.s a.mended, on the acquisition proposed in sa.id petitions; a,nd
4�l�;REAS, sz.id re�ort was duly filed, and by Resolution No. �b32 this
City Cou:ncil approved said report and fixed a time and nlace of hearing thereon; and
WI��REAS, n.otice of said hea.ring was m�iled as reQUired by said
Investi�;�tion Act; and
W��F;AS, said hearing was held. at thF time and place so fixed and at
said time �,nd �lace wa.s duly concluded; a.nd
h�REAS, all oral and written protests have been duly heard and all
�ersons desirin� to be heard on said re�ort or u�oon sa.id project have been heard;

does hereby resolve, determine and order �s follows;
Sectian 1: That sa,id report contains all the matters and things
reouired by la.w and that notice o� hea.ring upon the pro project generally
described. therein has been dul� and reg;ularly given.
Section 2: That thF protests filed are not made by the owners of
one-half (1�2) of the property to be assessed for the proposed acquisition a..nd tha,t
t'�ere is no ma.jorit`r brotest a�a,inst only a portion of the oroposed acauisition.
Section 3: That all pr�tests and objections bot�i oral a.nd in writing
filed anc made orally in s�.id :natter, by a.nd the same are hereb�- overruled a.nd denied.
Seetion 4: That t�e rn.�.blic interest, convenience and necessity
reQUire the a.cquisition substantia.11y as set forth in the renort, and the project
is feaszble a.nd this City Council determines to proceed nnc?er the Vehicle P�.r�ing
District Act of 194�'�, as a.mended, to form a Vehicle Parking District in the City of
I,ynwood ��.nd to make tne �.cauisition substantially as set forth in said re:�ort on file
and descr.ibed in said �etitions on file.
