REQUESTING AID FCR PRO'I`ECTIOPd OF GR,ADE CRQSSINGS.
T,JHEREAS, the State of Californ.ia has approprzated the sum of �5000�000
for allocat�on bV the Publie Utilities Commission to local agencies to assist in
paying for the cost of protection at grade crossings� and
W"t�RF.9,S, the City of Lynwood has two grade crossings which qualify
for such aid;
�ZOW TI�REFCRE SE IT Ta' OLV�D by the City Council of the City of Lynwood
as follows:
Section l: That the subm�ssion of applications f'or funds to aid in
the installation of safety devi.ces at gr�,de crossinga over the Pacific Electric
Railway at Imt�erial �iighway a.nd at '�rignt Road is here�.�y authorized.
Section 2: That the Mayor of the City of Lyn�aood �s hereby autnorized
to sign each application of the Cit,y of Lynwood to the Public IItilities Comrlission
for allocation of funds from the Crossing Protection Fund in accordance with procedures
established. b�r s�,id Commission.
