RESOLUTION ABANDONING THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT
OF A PORTION OF PENDLETON AVENUE BETWEEN COLYER
AVENUE AND ELM AVEMUE IN TI-� C ITY OF LYIV�+�TOOD BY
THE CONSTRUCTION OF CENiENT CONCRETE SIDEWALKS,
INCLUDING ALL INCIDENTAL AND APPURTENANT WORK.
WHEREAS, the City Council.of the City of Lynwood did, on
the 15th day of' November, 1955 adopt its Resolution of Intention No.
2623 orderin� the improvement of a portion of Pendleton P,venue between
Colyer Avenue and Elm Avenue by the construction of cement concrete
sidewalks, together with incidental and appurtenant work, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of said City has heretofore presented
and filed an a£fidavit of publication of said Resolution of Intention
showing that the same was published according to law; and
WHEREAS, said City Clerk has also presented and filed his
affidavit of mailing notices of the adoption of said Resolution of
Intention in the time, form, and manner, and to the persons, all as
provided by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California,
designated as Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code, and cited
as the "Improvement Act of' 1911," and amendments thereto, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer-Superintendent of Streets has
heretofore presented and filed an affidavit showing that notices of
the passage of said Resolution of Intention have been posted in the
manner provided by said Act; and
WHEREAS, Tuesday, the 20th day of December, 1955 at the
hour of' 8 oiclock p.m, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in
said City of Lynwood, was the time and place set in said. Resolution
of Intention when and where any objeetions to the proposed work or
improvement, or to the extent of the district to be assessed, or to
the grades to which the work was proposed to be done, would be heard.
by said City Council; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing held on the 20th day of December,
1955 majority protests were filed against all of the things proposed
to be done under Resolution of Intention No. 2623.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood that the said City Council has considered all facts
and testimony and in the best interest of all parties concerned,
declare this improvement to be abandoned and that no further pro-
ceedings as outlined in Resolution of Intention No 2623 shall be
taken for a period of six (6) months from this date, all as provided
in Chapter 8, Part 3, Division 7 of the Streets and Hi�hways Code,
c��ed as the "Improvement Act of 1911."
