DIRECTING P1�;PA&,ATION Or IIEAT LIMITATION F.EPORT.
Wr�1R�;�S, a. petition for the formation of � Vehicle Parkin�; District
u.nder the Vehicle Pa.rking District Act of 194�3 as a.mended, was filed in the office
of the City Clerk on the 18th day of October, 1955 and
VJK�I�.EAS said Cit`> Clerk ha.s checked said petition and has certified
that it is signed by the reauisite niunber of qualified signers, and tYka.t the said
x�etition and certificate of said Cit`� Clerk h�ve been z�resented to tnis City Council;
NOW TEiF;RF;rORE the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
resolve as foll.ows;
Section l; That the nublic interest, convenience and necessity
renuire, and the City Council of the City of Lynwood ,�ro�oses to institute nroceedings
for the acauisition described in said netition.
Section 2� �i�t the �ene:al natnre, loc�,tion and extent of said work
is the �,cauisition of certain �roperties lying westerly of the first �lley westerly
of Long Be�.ch �-oulevard between ��ernwood Avenue and Sanborn Avenue in the City of
Lvnwood for off street �a.rking nurnoses. S2.id properties are more Aarticularly
described as follows:
Lots 329 330 � 331 � 332, 336, ��, a.nd 4�65 of Trac t No. 2551 as shown
on ma,� recorded in Book 24�, �ages '�8, 79, a.nd 80 of Maps, Record.s of Los Angeles
Countv, Califor.nia., and those Uortions of Lots 4�61, 462, and 463 of said Tract
No. 2551 lvin�� between the westerly line of the �irst alley westerly of Lon.g Beach
Boulevard and a line 65 feet westerly therefrom (measured at right an�les) and
pa.ra,llel thereto.
Section_�,_ It is hereby deternined th�.t the totzl expense of imnrove-
ing said �ro to be acQUired snalZ be paid by the City of L�•nwood.
Section �: It is hereb�r further determined that the City Council. of
the City or I,yn�l�ood adobts this resolution unde: and in accordance with Section 4�
of the Streets and Highvrays Cod.e o� the State of Ca.lifornia, known �s the Sbecial
Assessment Investigatio�, I,i�itation �„nd I�iajoritv Protest Act of 1931, as a,mended.
It is hereby further determined that said City Council nronoses to conduct the
�roceedings for said acouisition under the Vehicle Parking� District Act of 194�3 as
a.mended.
Section 5: That the boundary or eatent of the assessment d.istrict
s�owing tne lands to be assessed to pay the costs a.nd exnenses of said acquisition
is shown on Pla,n i"o. 1955 -•�1.-? on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city,
wnich sha.11 govern for all d.etails a.s to thF extent of said assessment district.
Section 6; That the City Engineer be and he is herebv directed to
nrenare Gnd deliver to said. Citv Council a written report on said acQUisition in
a.ccord�,nce with,the provisions of said Special Assessment Investiga:tion, Li�nitation
a.nd Majority Protest Act of 1931, as amended.
