A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO PERNIIT 'I'HE REGIS-
TRAR OF VOZ'ERS OF SATD COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED
SERVICES TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, RELATING TO THE
CONDUCT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
IN SAID CITY ON APRIL 10 195�
WHEREAS, a general municipal election is to be held in the
City of Lynwood on April 10 z956 and
WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in
relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and
polling place cards to the registered voters of the City, and it
will facilitate such mailing if the Registrar of Voters of the County
of Los Angeles will imprint the names and addresses of the registered
voters of said city and location of the polling places, and insert
said samp:le ballots and polling place cards, and
WHEREAS, all necessary supplies in performing this service
shall be furnished to said Registrar of Voters by the City of Lynwood,
and.
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service
shall be paid by the City of Lynwood,
IVOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of' the City of Lynwood
does hereby RESOLVE, DEZ'ERMINE, AND ORDER, as follows:
Section l: That it is deemed economical and satisfactory
to the City Council of the City of Lynwood that the Registrar of Voters
of' the County of Los Angeles imprint the names and addresses of' the
registered voters of said city and location of the polling places on
insert sheets furnished. by the City, and insert said sample ballots
and. polling place cards in mailing envelopes furnished by the City.
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 9483 of the Elections Code of
the State of California, this City Council hereby requests the Board
of Supervi.sors of said County of Los Angeles to permit the Registrar
of Voters of said County to render such services to the City in
connection with the conduct of said election to be held on April 10 1956

Section 2: That the estimated cost of said services is $150,00,
and it is hereby ordered that the sum of $165 .00 (being an amount 10�
in excess of such estimated cost) be reserved from the funds of said
city to the end that a sum equal to the actual cost of said services
may be transferred to said county when the work is completed and
goods supplied upon presentation to the city of a properly approved ,
bill from said. county, and aceord.ingly the City Treasurer is hereby
authorized and directed to transfer said last mentioned sum from the
General Fund of said city to a fund hereby created and designated
"Registrar of Voters Services Fund 1956
Section 3: That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward
without d.elay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of
Voters, each a certified copy of this resolution.

I, H. M. Campbell, City Clerk of the City of Lynwood,
California, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of said City and was approved by the Mayor
of said City at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
6th day of December, 1955 and that it was so adopted by the following
vote:
AYES. Councilmen Bruner, McMeekin, Pearson,
Pender.
NOES: Councilmen None.
ABSENT: Councilmen i lard.
