A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTEN-
TION TO PAY OUT OF ITS MUNICIPAL FUNDS SIXTY
PER CENTUM (60/) OF THE AMOUNT OF TAXES TO BE
DERNED FROM THE .AREA OF THE METROPOLITAN
inTATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERRt CALIFORNIA WITHIN
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGIN-
NING JULY l, Z956 AS SUCH AMOUNT OF TAXES
SHALL BE FIXED IIV AUGUST, 1956 BY RESOLUTION
OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SUCH METROPOLITAN
WATER DISTRICT.
wHEREAS, the City Council of said City of' Lynwood is
desirous of declaring its intention, pursuant to the provisions of
said Section 8.2 of' the Metropolitan Water District Act, to pay out
of the municipal funds of said City Sixty per centum (60f) of the
amount of the taxes of The Metropolitan Water District of Southern
California for the Fiscal year 1.956-Z957 to be derived from the '
area of' said District within said City of Lynwood_, as such amount
of taxes shall be fixed in August 1956 by resolution of' the Board
of Directors of said The Metropolitan Water Distric� of Southern
California, and it appears that there will be aufficient money in
the appropriate municipal fund, to wit, the Water Fund., of said
City to make such payment; and
WHEREAS, a statement of' the existence of the City of Lynwood.
as a municipal corporation and a legal description of the boundaries
of said. City of Lynwood., including recent chan�es in said boundaries,
to wit: Ordinances Numbers 619 625 and 634 with maps or plats,
have been filed with the said The Metropolitan Water District of
Southern California, with the County Assessor of the County of Los
Angeles, and with the State Board of Equalization;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
That said City Council hereby and herein declares its
intention, on behalf of the City of Lynwood, to pay out of its
municipal funds Sixty per centum (60/) of the amount of taxes to be
derived from the area of said District within the City of Lynwood.,
as such amount of taxes shall be fixed in August 1956 by resolu�ion
of the Board of Directors of said The Metropolitan Water District of
Southern California for the fiscal year commencing July l, t956 and
ending June 30, 1957, and that said City of Lynwood, pursuant to the
provisions of paragraph (d) of Section 8 of the Metropolitan Water
District Act, as amended, and at the time and in the manner therein
provid.ed, will elect to pay Sixty per centum (60�) of the amount of
taxes to be derived from said City of Lynwood. as so fixed by said.
resolution of the Board of Directors of said District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED by said City Council that
immediately upon the adoption of this declaration of intention and
order, and not later than the lOth day of December, 1955 a certified.
copy of this dec]_aration of intention and order shall be filed by
the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood. with the Controller of said The
Metropolitan Wa�er District of Southern California, and with the Coun�y
Assessor of the County of Los Angeles, and. with the State Board of
Equalization.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AI�D ORDERED by said City Council that
concurrently with the certification to the Controller of The Metropolitan
Water District of Sou�hern California of said declaration of intention,
the said City Clerk shall transmit or cause to be transmitted to said.
Controller a statement showing the financial condition of said City,
the fund.s from which it is intend.ed that such payment will be made,
and the sources of revenue to be used therefor, and not later than
the 15th day of December, 1955 shall file, or cause to be filed, with
said Cont.roller proof that a certified copy of said declaration has
been filed with said County Assessor, and. with said State Board. of
Equalization.

Lynwood, Calif'ornia this 6th day of December, 1955 by the following
vote, to wit:
