RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS IN CONNECTION
WITH THE HEARING ON DEBT LIMITATION FOR THE
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF PENDLETON
AVENUE BETWEEN COLYER AVENUE AND ELM AVENUE BY
THE CONSTRUCTION OF CEMEI�TT COIVCRETE SIDEWALKS.
WHEREAS, the City Counci�_ of the City of Lynwood did, on
the 4th day of October, 1955 approve an investigation report under
�he provisions of Division 4 of the Streets and Highwa.,ys Code, cited.
as "Special Assessment Investi�ation, Limitation and Ma.jority Protest
Act of 1931" a.s amended, upon the proposed improvement of Pendleton
Avenue between Colyer Avenue and Elm Avenue by the construction of
cement concrete sidewalks, including all incidental and a.ppurtena.nt
work, as shown on Plan No. 1955-F-2 on file in the office of the Cit,y
C_lerk of said City, and
WHEREAS, said repo:rt having been duly prepared and filed,
a hearin� was held bv said Cit,y Council on the 15th dav of November,
'955 in the manner provided in said Act above referred to; and.
WHEREAS, more than thirty days have expired since the date
of mailin� notices of hearing on said report;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby resolve as follows:
1_. That the protests made at sa.id hearing on said investi-
�ation report be and the same are hereby overruled.
2. That the public interest, convenience, and necessity
requi the doing and making of the public improvement set forth and
described in said report above referred to and substantially in the
manner set forth;
3. That the project consisting of the proposed improvement
above .referred to is feasible and that the lands to be assessed will
be able to carry the 'purden of said proposed assessment, and the
1=�_mitations on the amounts of assessments provided for in this part
ma,y be disre�ard.ed. both with respect to the limitations on the dis-
trict as a whole and as to the limitation on individ.ual specl_fic
assessments.
4. Tnat the estimated total amount proposed to be assessed.
upon an,y or all lots or parce:�s of land for the costs and expenses
ol said proposed improvement does not exceed the limitation of indebt-
edness established and set forth in said act above referred to and Taill
not, b;r the levjJ thereof, cause said limitation to be exceeded in
any instance�

6. Tha.t it is hereby ordered that the proceedings for
the makin� of said proposed improvement be undertaken pursua.nt to
the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Cali.fornia,
desi�;nated as Division 7 of the StNeets a.nd Hi�hwa.,ys Code, cited as
�he "Imnrovement Act of 1911, and amendmen�s thereto."
