Home My Public Portal About2620 (11-15-55) RESOLUTION N0. 2620 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DECLARINGS ITS INTENTION TO VACATE THE FIRST ALLEY WESTERLY OF ATLANTIC AVENUE EXTENDING SOUTHERLY FROM IMPERIAL HIGHWAY. The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1: The following described alley is unnecessary for present or prospective alley purposes and. that the public interest, necessity and convenience require, and the City Council of' said City hereby declares its intention to vacate and abandon said alley described as follows: That portion of' the first alley westerly of Atlantic Avenue lying between the southerly line of Imperial Highway (100� wide) and the easterly prolongation of the southerly line of Lot 8, Block 4, Tract 9337 as per map recorded in Book 130, pages 61, 62, and 63 of Maps, Record.s of Los Angeles County, California. Section 2: That said alley as above described, lying and being in said City of Lynwood, is shown on Map No 1955-P on file in the office of the City Clerk of said. City, and to which all parti�s interested are referred. to f'or further particulars as to the proposed. vacation and abandonment. Section 3: That the City of Lynwood reserves an easement in, over, or upon said above described property for the construction, erection, and/or maintenance therein of public utilities. Section 4: That said proceedings are had and taken under the provisions of Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the Sta.te of California, and cited as "The Street Vacation Act of 1941," as amend.ed. Section 5: That the City Council hereby fixes Tuesday, the 20th du.y of Dec�mb?r, 1955 a.t thr� h�ur of 8:00 p.m, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road in the City of Lynwodd as the time and place for hearing any protests or ob�ections to the pro- posed. vacation or abandonment of said alley. -1- Section 6: That the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to publish and post notice of the passage of this Resolution in the time, form, and manner required by law.
