A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING NOVENIBER 7,
1955 AS "DUKE SNIDER" DAY AND DECLARING EDWIN
A. "DUKE" SNIDER TO BE HONORARY MAYOR OF SAID
CIZ'Y.

WHEREAS, "Duke" Snider, through his outstanding achieve-
ments in the world of sports has brought great honor and recognition
to the City of Lynwood, and.
WHEREAS, said "Duke" Snider is a resident of said city and
displays keen interest in the activities and developments of the
community,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby designate Monday, the 7th d.ay of' l�ovember, 1955 as "DUKE
SNIDER DAY" in the City of Lynwood, and
2. That the City Council of' the City of Lynwood does
h�reby declare Edwin A. "Duke" Snider to be Honorary Mayor of the
City of Lynwood.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this lst day of November, 1955 by the
f'ollowing vote:
Ayes: Councilman Bruner, Councilwoman MeMeekin,
Councilman Pearson, Councilman Pender, and
Councilman Willard.
Noes: Councilmen: None.
Absent: Councilmen: None.
