Member Cavanaugh introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 2023-11
RESOLUTION
CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the city council adopted December 5, 2023, a report has
been prepared by the city engineer with reference to the proposed 2023 Clydesdale Trail
Pavement Rehabilitation Project, the improvement of Clydesdale Trail from 100 feet east of the
City’s public works driveway to County Road 101 by reconstruction of the roadway pavement
surface layer, spot concrete curb replacement, and trail repair; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed improvement is
necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should be made as proposed or in connection
with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a
description of the methodology used to calculate the individual assessments for affected parcels;
and
WHEREAS, the city council received the feasibility report on January 17, 2023 and authorized
the preparation of plans and specifications; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of Medina Minnesota, as
follows:
1. The city council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the
report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the
improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of
the improvement of $518,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 21st day of
February 2023, in the council chambers of the city hall at 7:00 PM and the clerk shall
give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
DesLauriers and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Cavanaugh, DesLauriers, Martin
And the following voted against same: (Absent: Albers, Reid)
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
