ENGINISERIN(; AND MATERIALS TESTING BUDGET-IIII.L
DISTRICT STORM SEg~, ER CROSSING OF INDUSTP, IAI. ROAD
WHEREAS, the Borough of Cartcrct (the "Borough") received a grant in Ihe
amoulat of $300.000 from tiao New Jersey Department of Transportation
(~NJDOT") for tiao construction of tim storm se~er culvert beneath Industrial
Road (the "Project"): and
~ }II~;I{EAS, said Grant included funds dedicated for engineering costs associated
xxith thc Pmjecl: and
WI1EREAS, the contract for thc ?'ant been executed and fine engineering funds
are in place.
NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by thc Mayor and Council of thc
Borough of Carterct that the Engineering and Material Testing Budget portion of
tho NJDOT Grant fei- thc Project totaling $27.000 be released to Killam and
Associates for Engineering Services and Contract Administration.
BE IT FURTIIER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Borough Clerk arc hereby
authorized to execute a contract for Professional Services with Killam and
zlssociatcs in an amount not to exceed.
BE IT FURTIIER RESOLVED that thc contract is made without Competitive
Bidding in accordance with N.J.S.A.40A:II 5(la(a) due to thc specialized and
professional natm'c of thc service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOI.VED that this shall he advertised as prescribed by
