RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, G NING NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN TI� COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES LYING EASTERLY OF THORSON AVENUE.
WI�REAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939 as amended, there has been presented to the
City Council of the City of Lynwood, California, a petition requesting
the annexation of certain property lying easterly of Thorson Avenue
in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, and lying within
the followin� deacribed lines:
Beginning at the intersection of a line 10 feet
easterly of and parallel to the westerly line of
. Thorson Avenue and the westerly prolongation of
the southerly line of Lot 2 of J. J. Bullis Tract,
as shown on map recorded in Book 3, pages 612 and
613 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, said point being on the boundary line
of the City of Lynwood as said boundary line existed
April 18 1955 thence northerly along said boundary
line and following the same in all its various
courses to a point on the southerly line of said Lot 2;
thence North 71 10� 55" West along said last described
line and its westerly prolongation to the point of
beginning.
WHEREAS, said territory is uninhabited, unincorporated
territory contiguous to the city of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, said petition is signed by the owners of not
less than one-fourth of the area of land in such territory and
representing not less than one-fourth of the assessed value of such
territory according to the last preceding equalized assessment roll
of the County of Los Angeles, State of California, in which sucti
territory is situated, -
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section l: That proceedings for the annexation of said
territory to the City of Lynwood shall be undertaken pursuant to the
provisions of the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of i939 ,��
as amended.
Section 2: Said territory is hereby designated for identi-
fication purposes as "Ozell Manor Annex No. 5."
Section 3: The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby '
gives notice of said proposed annexation and fixes the 15th.day of

November, 1955 at the hour of 8:00 p.m, in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California as the day,
hour, and place when and where any person owning real property
within such territory so proposed to be annexed. and having any
ob�ections to the proposed annexation may appear before the City
Council of said City, and show cause why such territory should
not be so annexed.
Seetion 4: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause
a copy of this resolution to be published once a week for two
successive weeks prior to said hearing in the Lynwood Press, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said
City of Lynwood, and also in the Herald-American, a newspaper of
general circulation published outside of the City of Lynwood but
in the County in which is located the territory proposed to be
annexed,
Section 5: The City Clerk is also directed to cause
written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each
person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed,
is assessed in the last equalized assessment roll of the County
in which said territory is located.
Section 6: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
