RESOLUTION N0, 2612
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF FRANKLIN
STREET EXTENDING NOftTHERLY OF LYNWOOD ROAD.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
resolve as follows:
Section l: That the following described street is
unnecessary for present or prospective public use and the public
, interes�, necessity, and convenience require and the City Council
of said city does hereby declare ite intention to vacate that portion
of Franklin Street extending northerly of Lynwood Road, described �
followa•
, Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 389
of the Bullis Alameda Street Traet as record.ed in
Book g, page 105 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles
County;.thence southerly parallel to the easterly
- boundary of Lot 9 of �he Commerce Tract as recorded
in Book 146,.pages 49 and 50 of Maps, Records of
said Coun�y, to the northerly line of Lynwood Road;
thence easterly along the northerly line of said
road to the southwest corner of Lot 10 of said
Commerce Tract; thence northerly along the westerl.y
line of said Lot 10 to the point of beginning, ___

Section 2; That said street as above described, lying
and being in the City of Lynwood, is shown on Map No 1955-x on file
in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and bo which all
interested parties are referred to for further particulars as to the
proposed vacation and abandonment, .
Section 3: That said proceedin$s are had and taken under
the provisions of Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, and cited as "The Street Vacation Act of
1941" as amended.
Section 4: That the City Counc3l hereby fixes the 4th day
of October, 1955 at the hour of 8 otclock p,m, as the day and hour, and
the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, in the City
of Lynwood, California, as the place for hearing any protests or
ob,jections to the proposed vacation or abandonment,
. Section 5: The City Clerk of said City is hereby
directed to publish and post notices of the passage of this ,
���resolution in the time, form, and manner as required by law.
