RESOLUTION REQUESTING AN EXTENSION OF TIME
UNTIL OCTOBER l, 1955 FOR THE ABANDONMENT �
OF SINGLE CHAMBER INCINERATORS.
WHEREAS, the County Air Pollution Control Board has
adopted a program to ab�olish single chamber incinerators throughout
the County of Los Angeles on July 1 1955 and
WHEREAS, the abandonment of back yard burning will greatly
increase collection of combustible rubbish, and
WHEREAS, the City.of Lynwood has contracted for the
collection of combustible rubbish, and
WHEREAS, negotiations must be conducted between the
contractor and City for the collection of said added refuse,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of Lynwood does hereby request the County Air Pollution
Control Board to grant to the City of Lynwood an extension of time
to October l, 1955.in order to comply .with the.request of said Board,
to enable the City to make the necessary financial arrangements with

` the contractor, and to inform its citizens of their responsibility
