A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER
STREET LIGHTING SERVICE ON CERTAIN STREETS
IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD FOR A PERIOD BEGINNING
JULY 1 1955 � ENDING JUNE 30, 195$
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
resolve as follows:
Section 1: That the public interest and conven3ence
require, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Lynwood to order the furnishing of the service necessary to
maintain and illuminate by means of electrical energy the Edison
Company street lighting system made up of 2,500 lumen, 4,000 lumen,
6,000 lwnen, 10,000 lumen, and 20,000 lumen lamps, and the 2,500
lumeri, 10,000 lumen, and 20,000 lumen lamps on ornamenta.l standards
in certain streets in the City of Lynwood within the district des-
cribed in Section 2 hereof and to be known as "Lighting Maintenance
Distx°ict No. 17 of the City of Lynwood." Reference is hereby made
to Plans No. 1955-B and Specifications rro. 1955-s on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said City.
Section 2: That the exterior boundary of the district
to be benefited therefrom and to be assessed to pay the costs and
expenses thereof to be known as said assessment district is described
as follows:

Beginning at the northeasterlq corner of Lot l, Block
A, of LVatts Park Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 8, page 70,
of Maps, Records of Los AngelesCounty, Cali£ornia, said point being
on the westerly boundary line of the City of Lynwood as said bovndarg
line existed �4ay 3, 1955; thence easterly along said boundary line .
and following the same in all its various courses to its intersection
with'the northerly prolongation of the easterly line of Wri�ht Road
(50 feet wide); thence southerlg along said last described line and
the easterly line of Wright Road to its intersection with the easter-
ly prolongation of the southerlq line of Lot 1 of Tract No. 10857,
as shown on map recorded in Book 90, pa�es 34 and 35 of Maps, Records
of said Countg; thence v�esterlg to the southeasterly c orner of Lot 1
, of said Tract No. 10857, said point bein� on the boundary line of
the City of Lynwood as said boundary line existed Mag 3, 1955; thence
westerly along said boundary 13ne and following tlze same in all its
various courses to a point on the easterly line of Wright Road '
(33 feet eaide), distant thereon 304.98 feet southerly from the south-
erlg line of Century Boule vard (50 feet wide); thence southerlg al ong
the easterly line of said Wright Road to t he northerly line of Lot 6
of Slausson Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 3, page 348,
Miscel7.aneous Records of said Countg; thence easterly along the north-
erly line of said Lot 6 to the easterly line of said lot, said point
being on the boundary line of the City of Lynwood as said boundary
line existed May 3, 1955; thence southerly along said boundarg line
and followin� the same in all its various courses to the intersection
of the.westerly prolongation of a line 399.61 feet northerly of and
parallel to the southerly line of Lot 2 of the J. J. Bullis Tract as
shown on map recorded in Book 3, pages 612 and 613 of t�Ii.scellaneous
Records of said County, with a line 10 feet easterly of and parallel
to the westerly line of Thorson Avenue; thence northerly along said
last described line to the easterlg brolongation of the southerly line
of Magnolia Avenue; thence westerlg along said last described line
and the southerly line of Magnolia Avenue to its intersection �vith
the southerly prolongation of the westerly line of Lot 17, Block B,
of Tract Dio. 11378 as shown on map recorded in Book 203, pages 27 and
28 of PQaps, Records of said County; thence westerly in a dir.ect line
to the s�uthwesterly corner of Lot 2, Block A of Tract No. 11269 as
, shown on map recorded in Book 201, pages 3 and 4 of P�Iaps, Records of
said County; thence southerly to a point on the s'outherly line� of
Lot 2, Block C, Tract No. 10996 as shown on map recorded in Book 193,
pages 4, 5, and 6 of Maps, Records of said County, distant thereon
100 feet tivesterlg from the southeasterly corner of said Lot 2; thence
westerlq to the southwesterly c orner of said Lot 2; thence westerly
to thelsoutheasterly corner o£ Lot 23, Block B of said Tract No.'10996;
thence to the southwesterly corner of Lot 2, Block B of said
last mentioned tract; thence westerly to the southeasterly corner
of Lot'16, Block A of said Tract iQo. 10996; thence westerly to tYie
southwesterly corner of said last mentioned lot; thence southerly to
the southeasterly corner of Lot 14, Block A of said Tract Pdo. 10996;
thence westerly to the southwesterly corner of said Lot 14; thence
northerlJ along the westerly line of said Lot 14,125 feet; thence
westerly in a direct line parallel to the southerly line of Lot 14
and its westerly prolongation to the easterly line of Lot 8, Block A
of said Tract No. 10996; thence northerlg a long said easterly line
o£ said Lot S, 50 feet; thence vresterlp parallel to the southerlg
line of said Lot 8 to a point on the westerly line of said lot;
thence southerly along the westerly line of said Lot 8, 21.35 £eet; �
thence westerly to a point on the easterlg line of Lot 6, Block A of
said Tract No. 10996 distant thereon 192.75 feet southerly from the
northerly line of said lot; thence southerly to the southeasterly
corner of Lot 5, Block A of said Tract No. 10996, said last described
point being on the easterly line of Bullis Road; thence southerly
along the easterly line of Bullis Road to the northerlg line of
Cflrlin Avenue; thence easterly alon� the northerlg line of Carlin
Avenue to a line 10 feet easterly of and �a rallel to the westerly
line of Thorson Avenue, said last described line being on the
boundary line o£ the City of Lgnwood as said boundary line e�isted
Il4ay 3, 1955; thence southerly along said boundar�* line and following
the same in all its various courses to a point on the westerly line
of Alameda Street (70 feet v�ride); thence northerly along the vresterly l i
line of Al�neda Street to the point of beginning.
Section 3: That the said contemplated improvement shall
be had and taken under the provisions of Division 14, Part I of the
Streets and Highways Code, cited as the "Street Lighting Act of 1g19
and amendments Thereto," approved may 16 1919.
