HomeMy Public PortalAbout2006-030 Resolution Relating to Tax Forfeited LandMember Smith introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2006-30 RESOLUTION RELATING TO TAX FORFEITED LAND WHEREAS, the south 8 feet of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4, City of Medina, County of Hennepin, Property Identification Number 13-118-23-22-0015; and WHEREAS, this parcel has become the property of the State of Minnesota for non- payment of real estate taxes; and WHEREAS, this parcel is on Non -Conservation List #844 from Hennepin County; and WHEREAS, the parcel is classified by the Department of Natural Resources as Protected Wetlands #27-483W. WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to use this property as a pedestrian trail and location for a civil defense siren. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina: 1. To authorize the Mayor and the City Administrator -Clerk to make application to the State of Minnesota and the County Commissioners of Hennepin County for conveyance of this parcel for the public purpose of a pedestrian trail and location of civil defense siren. 2. To submit a certified copy of this resolution to the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners in accordance with Minnesota Statute Section 282.01. Dated: April 4, 2006 Bruce D.
