Gonzalez, Village Manag Date: January 22, 2021 Subject: Recurring Vendors The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to provide transparency, with respect to vendors used by the Village over the course of the fiscal year. On September 8, 2020, Council approved the use of 29 vendors, which on aggregate may exceed $20,000 (the Village Manager's spending limit) over the course of the fiscal year. Within this approval, Council requested notification if/when any vendors on the list exceed the threshold of $20,000. At this time, one vendor: Mercedes Electric Supply has exceeded $20,000 in aggregate purchases. Bal Harbour Village utilizes Mercedes Electric as a supplier for all of our lighting and electrical part needs such as, streetlights, up -lights, beach path lights, facility lights, etc. The two (2) largest expenditures were required to purchase parts for the scheduled beach path bollard replacements and for the street light LED lamp replacements on Collins Avenue. The remainder ofthe purchased parts were to make 9 electrical repairs and pump station electrical inventory stock with an average cost of under $ 300.
