Subject: Operations Facility Status
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) to provide you the status of the New Operations
Facility in North Miami and the completion of the demolition at 18 Bal Bay.
To date, all construction activities at the new Ops Facility building have been completed
with minor punch list items identified for correction to be finished mid -April. A Temporary
Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) was issued by the City of North Miami and staff is currently
occupying the facility. The Certificate of Completion (CO) is pending the approval of a
revision to the permit drawings.
The demolition of the existing facilities located at 18 Bal Bay has been completed and sod
has been installed in the interim while the Park and Community Center construction starts.
We have modified the entrance to the basketball court and anticipate that both the
basketball court and open play area will be available to residents for use in the coming
week.

The Ribbon Cutting event will be scheduled for mid to end of April. We were delayed as
a result of the delayed delivery of the generator which impacted the issuance of the TCO.
The Ribbon Cutting and the Park Groundbreaking events will kickoff the Village Capital
Program projects.
