The Beach Safety Officer (BSO) encountered 14 dogs on the beach. Only one dog was a service dog
under the Florida ADA. The other dog owners received verbal warnings. The BSO also encountered
17 people fishing; the individuals were informed fishing was temporarily prohibited.
The BSO received a complaint of several males possibly smoking marijuana, the BSO located the
males and determined the males were using scented vapes.
The BSO noticed several St. Regis sandwich board signswere obstructing beach entry/exit path and
an ATV parked in the landscape sea oats area. The BSO contacted St. Regis personnel and
requested the signs and ATV be relocated. St. Regis personnel placed the signs on their property
away from the beach access paths and secured the ATV.
The BSO discovered the Plaza’s beach cart was obstructing a beach entry/exit path , contact was
made with Plaza personnel who immediately relocated the beach cart
