Marine Patrol officers responded to a distress call regarding a Kite Surfing accident which occurred two miles east of Surfside. Upon arriving, Miami-Dade Ocean Rescue had rescued the surfer. Be ach Saf e t y D et ai l : The Beach Safety Officer (BSO) encountered 3 dogs on the beach. The owners were warned and immediately removed the dogs. After receiving a call regarding a trespasser at the Majestic, the BSO issued a “Be On The Lookout” and conducted an extensive area canvass which led to the apprehension on the suspect. The investigation resulted in the arrest of the individual. The BSO discovered the male was utilizing a plastic implement to force open the gates leading to the property. All east side building personnel were advised of the incident. No other incidents or damages were reported.
