Bal Harbour marine patrol officers assisted Miami-Dade Police marine p atrol in rescuing a stranded
Kayaker who was battling strong currents in the intercoastal waterways.
The Bal Harbour marine patrol vessel was down for maintenance and minor repairs from June 9
through June 16, 2021.

Beach attendance was low this week due to weather conditions.
The BSO encountered three dogs on the beach, the owners were issued a verbal warning and
immediately removed the dogs.

Bal Harbour officers assisted Bay Harbor Islands with traffic control. Miami-Dade air rescue landed
along SR 922 in order to transport a boating accident victim to the hospital. Bal Harbour officers
remained on scene until roadways were reopened.

While patrolling the Collins Avenue corridor, Bal Harbour officersreceived a stole tag alert from the LPR
system. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The traffic investigation confirmed
the tag was stolen. The tag was impounded and the driver was issued multiple citations.
