Subject: Recurring Vendors
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to provide transparency, with respect to
vendors used by the Village over the course of the fiscal year.
On September 8, 2020, Council approved the use of 29 vendors, which on aggregate
may exceed $20,000 (the Village Manager's spending limit) over the course of the fiscal
year. Within this approval, Council requested notification if/when any vendors on the
list exceed the threshold of $20,000. At this time, six vendors: Mercedes Electric
Supply, Lank Oil, Tirone Electric, Inc., NGR Auto Services, C&I Construction & Design
Inc., and Core & Main LP have exceeded $20,000 in aggregate purchases. Mercedes
Electric Supply, Lank Oil, Tirone Electric, Inc., NGR Auto Services were included in the
January 22nd, 2021 and April 9th 2021 LTC Updates.
This fiscal yearto date, C&I Construction & Design, Inc. has provided emergency water
system repairs along Collins Avenue, emergency structural repairs and routine
maintenance services at the Storm Water Pump Station No. 1 (PS 1). This work resulted
in the receipt of seven (7) invoices with an aggregate total of thirty-four thousand six
hundred ninety-one ($34,691) dollars. Two of the seven invoices combined total
seventeen thousand five hundred sixty-one ($17,561) dollars, with the remaining
invoices individually totaling under five thousand ($5,000) dollars.
Core & Main LP provides maintenance parts and supplies utilized by staff to maintain
the Village storm water, sanitary sewer and water system components and equipment.
This fiscal yearto date, twenty-four (24) received invoices total thirty-one thousand four
hundred ninety-one ($31,491) dollars, with the average invoice amount totaling one
thousand three hundred ($1,300) dollars.
