CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2006-44
RESOLUTION CHALLENGING METROPOLITAN COUNCIL APRIL 1, 2005
POPULATION ESTIMATE OF CITY OF MEDINA
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council provided preliminary population estimates to the
City of Medina on June 1, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council estimates the City of Medina population is 4,740
people and 1,601 households as of April 1, 2005; and`
WHEREAS, the City of Medina population estimate is 4,770 people as of April 1, 2005;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Medina,
to direct the city administrator to submit the City of Medina population estimate analysis as
attached in Exhibit A to the Metropolitan Council as an objection to the Metropolitan Council
preliminary estimates by June 24, 2006.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Cavanaugh upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Brinkman, Weir, Workman, Cavanaugh, Smith
And the following voted against same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
