Minutes of the BOARD OF ASSESSORS
DATE : October 3 , 2017

Present : Belinda Eyestone BOA & Diane Salomone BOA
Deputy Assessor, James Gallagher & Karen Halloran, Department Assistant
Absent : G. Howard Hayes BOA
Call to Order : Belinda Eyestone opened meeting at 5 : 50pm
Review and Approval of Minutes of September 11 , 2017 meeting . The Board unanimously
approved the minutes . Belinda Eyestone moved and Diane Salomone second .
Report of the Deputy Assessor :
Jim Gallagher stated that FYI Real Estate & Personal Property tax bills have been issued, due
November 1 , 2017 . More Personal Property tax bills have been issued this year as a result of PK
Valuations making an adjustment to the building cost tables . This calculation increased many
building values to exceed the $ 200 , 000 threshhold . Therefore more taxpayers will be issued a
Personal Property Tax bill that have never received one before .
There were no topics the chair did not reasonably anticipate .
Executive Session (to comply with or act under the authority of, any general or special law or
federal grant- in aid requirements : MGL Chapter 59 § 60 and MGL Chapter 214 § 113)
Ms . Eyestone moves the meeting into Executive session at 5 : 55pm to review and vote on the
Executive Session Minutes from September 11 , 2017 . Discuss and vote on Personal Exemptions .
Discuss and vote on Real Estate and Personal Property Abatements , and Chapter 61
Applications .
Topics the Chair did not reasonably anticipate . None .

Ms . Eyestone moved to adjourn the open meeting and open Executive meeting . Meeting will be
