Gonzalez, Village Manag Date : Octobre 15, 2021 Subject: Village Park Construction Comme ement The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to inform Council of the upcoming start of construction activities on the Village Park project and to outline the impact of those activities on our current amenities. Pursuant to Council's approval of the selection of NV2A as the contractor for this project, we have commenced the preparation for the use of the existing site for the contractor's staging and construction work area. In addition, we have coordinated the use of the site with Ebsary Foundation Company, the contractor for the Seawall Reconstruction project. NV2A has submitted the attached plan for the proposed use of the site as soon as they receive NTP 1 on November 1, 2021. NTP 1 will allow the contractor to begin the pile test and 30 days later they will be ready to commence construction. The contractor will begin the installation of the perimeter fence this coming Monday to keep the area safe. NV2A will be using the basketball court for the location of their construction office and for their storage containers, therefore on Friday, October 22nd the basketball court will be closed. Although it will impact its use for the entire duration of the construction period, it is necessary because the site is very small and we need to keep the site safe. The project scope has the upgrades to the courts included in the NV2A contract. In addition, we have made arrangements for the use of the Shops parking garage by our staff as soon as NTP 2 is issued. We have made arrangements for approximately 10 temporary parking spaces for visitors along Bal Bay Drive.
