Pedestrian/Traffic Safety • While construction activity is in progress: • Access point at 96th Stre et will be monitored by flaggers to direct pe destria n traffic and any emergency vehicle s. • Ca va che will se cure the construction a ccess area using a temporary construction fence a round the dumping a rea. • No e quipment will be left at the beach during period of no construction activity. Pedestrian/Tr affic Saf ety • While construction acti vity is in progress: • ADA ramp will be placed over pipe line at the jetty. On th e beach, pipeline will have sa nd ramps. How It Affects You • MOST of the beach will remain open MOST of the time. • Business as usual • During construction, access to certain parts of the beach will be restricted and/or closed, for safety purposes. • During co nstruction, parts of the beach will need to be cleared of all chairs, umbrellas, huts, etc. • The contractor will be co mpleting the beach north to south at the rate of several hundred feet per day. • You will see them co ming. • The contractor will coordinate directly with the vendors (e .g ., chair vendo rs) on the beach as best as possible. • The contracto r will also reach out to management (that they know about) with information. • If yo u'd like, please feel free to reach out the below email to ask specific questions. • PublicMail.
