HomeMy Public PortalAbout2006-048 Resolution Authorizing Publication of Ord 408Member Weir introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2006-48 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 408 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 408, an ordinance amending Sections 820.05, 820.17, subdivision 41, 820.25, subdivision 2 and 820.29, subdivision 5 of the Medina Code of Ordinances regarding soils surveys and suitable soils list; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 408 is 5 pages in length and includes a chart; and WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the city administrator -clerk -treasurer shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 408 to be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance: Public Notice The city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 408. The ordinance amends provisions related to soils surveys and suitable soils list. The amended ordinance incorporates the most current Hennepin County Soils Survey. A copy of the complete ordinance is available from the city administrator -clerk. Chad M. Adams, Administrator -Clerk Resolution No. 2006-48 July 18, 2006 1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the city administrator -clerk keep a copy of the ordinance in his office at city hall for public inspection and that he post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.
