The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to transmit to you a Weekly Report from the Bal
Harbour Police Department that I requested in order to enhance the flow of communication
and transparency.

Goyard’s store manager told officers an unknown male entered the store and retrieved multiple pieces
of merchandise from the display. The male then concealed the merchandise and exited the store
without paying. The entire incident was recorded on the in-store surveillance system. This case has
been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division for further review.

Neiman Marcus loss prevention department told officers that an unknown female entered the store
and began perusing the merchandise. The female then selected merchandise from the shelf and
concealed it under her arm. The female then bypassed each pay stat ion without paying and exited the
store. The entire incident was captured on the in-store surveillance system. This case has been
forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division for further review.

A Bal Harbour officer on their way into work observed a hit and run vehicle which had previously been
broadcast over police frequencies. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and notified
North Miami Police who responded and assumed the investigation.

A Bal Harbour officer observed a vehicle with heavy front-end damage pull into the west lot adjacent
to Village Hall. The damage appeared to be recent and the driver appeared to be nervous. The
investigation revealed that the driver had been involved in a hit and run accident in North Miami Beach.
Officers from the North Miami Beach Police Department responded and took over the investigation
