Subject: Capital Project Grant Status Repo- February 2022
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to transmit to you the status report of the
grants awarded for projects in our Capital Improvement Program.
We are very happy to report that pursuant to the Village's submission of a grant application
to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection - Resilient Florida Program, the
Village was awarded a $2 Million Grantforthe Stormwater Pump Station Rehabilitation and
Replacement.
This grant award is a highly coveted funding opportunity, as it is one of only 189 priority
projects through the Resilient Florida Program and the Statewide Resilience Plan. In this
round of award notices, only three other municipalities in Miami -Dade County have been
awarded funds at or above $2 Million. Hence, this is a tremendous win for the Village.
