Marine Patrol assisted with traffic enforcement daily and assisted with calls for service. Due to rough surf
and hazardous conditions, marine patrols were limited.
On Wednesday 3/16, Marine patrol conducted night patrols and found no violations or issues from
nearby anchored vessels.
On Friday, the BSO completed a criminal mischief/vandalism report after graffiti was located on the sea
wall near the entrance of the jetty. The BSO contacted Public Works and graffiti was removed.
Additionally, the BSO assisted with the on-boarding training of the new officers.
The BSO and Code Enforcement officers conducted beach checks and visited all beach attendants and
food service huts in order to ensure compliance with the single use plastic regulations. They also focused
on dogs on the beach, walking/jogging path violations as well as enforcing leash regulations.
The BSO also monitored the beach for increased activity regarding spring break activity. As of this time,
we have not encountered any adverse activity resulting from spring break.

Possible Stolen Vehicle
Harding Ave and 96 Street
Pursuant to a BOLO broadcast (be on the lookout), Bal Harbour officers initiated a traffic stop on a
possible stolen vehicle. Further investigation revealed the vehicle was not stolen and the reporting
agency had entered the wrong tag number. The entering agency removed the alert without delay.

Disturbance
10295 Collins Avenue
Bal Harbour officers were dispatched to a male causing a disturbance at the Ritz -Carlton lobby. Upon
arrival, the male had left with his family. No other incidents were reported.
03/16 and 03/17, 2022
Purim Holiday
Village Wide
The Bal Harbour police enhanced patrols and visibility details throughout the Purim Holiday. Officers
were assigned along the Collins Avenue and 96 street corridors and in the residential gated community.
