Gonzalez, Village Manag Date: March 18, 2022 Subject: Recurring Vendors The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to provide transparency, with respect to vendors used by the Village over the course of the fiscal year. On September 23, 2021, Council approved the use of 30 vendors, which on aggregate may exceed $20,000 (the Village Manager's spending limit) over the course of the fiscal year. Within this approval, Council requested notification if/when any vendors on the list exceed the threshold of $20,000. At this time, one vendor: AT&T Mobility have exceeded $20,000 in aggregate purchases. AT&T Mobility provides mobile cellular and data plan services for Village operations, including the Police Department. The IT Department consolidated all Village mobile communications and data plan services from Verizon Wireless to AT&T Mobility, in order to benefit from more competitive pricing. In addition, this transition would also allow the Village to receive the FirstNet Service, which would place the Village account in priority service and priority recovery during critical events (i.e., hurricanes, etc.). Moreover, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, shortages and extended fulfillment times for IT equipment made AT&T Mobility a viable option for the procurement of I -Pads for the Building Department in support of inspection services. In addition, in order to support remote work across Village Departments, additional data plan services were activated to ensure the continuity of operations.
