Subject: Bal Harbour Tourism Departmen Monthly Resort Tax Revenue Report for
March 2022
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to transmit to you the Monthly Tourism Resort Tax
Revenue Report from the Bal Harbour Tourism Department to provide you with an update on Resort
Tax Collections in the Village.
The attached report reflects all resort tax revenue collected from the Lodging (4%) and Food &
Beverage (2%) entities by the Village throughout the month of March 2022 from a report generated
directly from our financial management system. The report compares results to previous years and
includes FY 2020-2022 monthly results and variances.
The results for March FY 2022 and YTD with comparative to March FY 2021 and YTD, and March FY
2020 and YTD are as follows:

The March 2022 results of $708,957 is the third highest month in Bal Harbour history and highest
March of all time - surpassing by $37,484 or 6% versus March 2021 and $533,949 or 305% higher
than March 2020. The October - March results of $3,605,791 continue to set an all-time record -
$1,147,746 or 47% higher than October - March FY 2021 and $1,254,100 or 53% higher than
October - March FY 2020.
