The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to advise you that the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort
has for the ninth (9tH) consecutive year received the Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) highest rating of
five (5) stars for both the Resort as well as its St. Regis Spa.
Begun in 1958 as the Mobil Travel Guide for US Motorists, the Forbes Travel Guide has grown
into the only independent global rating agency for luxury hospitality. Anonymous professional
inspectors pay to stay at the hotels, restaurants, and spas assessed based on 900 objective
standards that determine the coveted annual Star Ratings.
The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort is one of only six (6) hotels awarded the 5 Star designation in
Miami -Dade County. The other hotels include:
• The Acqualina Resort (as well as their Spa) - Sunny Isles
• Four Seasons at the Surf Club (as well as their Spa)-Surfside
• Faena Hotel - Miami Beach
• The Setai - Miami Beach
• Mandarin Oriental - Miami
The Ritz -Carlton Bal Harbour was again awarded the Forbes Travel Guide 4 Star designation.
