A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
A RE-APPROPRIATION OF $68,326.24 FROM THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND
REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE
ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) PROGRAM FUNDING TO COVER COSTS FOR LOUD
NOISE VIOLATION ENFORCEMENT
WHEREAS, on June 16, 2009, the City Council approved the coverage of 50%
of the cost of an additional L.A. County Sheriff deputy to respond to loud noise
violations from the ARRA JAG allocation; and
WHEREAS, the funds were originally allocated in the City's FY 2009-10 budget;
and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $68,326.24 need to be re-appropriated
into the FY 2010-11 budget in order to cover costs of the additional deputy services for
loud noise enforcement in this fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the re-appropriation of $68,326.24
to cover costs for loud noise violation enforcement.

Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
