Home My Public Portal About2010.246 (12-07-10) RESOLUTION NO. 2010.246 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE SCHEDULE OF PARKING PENALTIES FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS, LATE PAYMENT PENALTIES AND OTHER PARKING FEES WHEREAS, Senate Bill 857, Committee on Budget and Fiscal Review was approved by the Governor of California on October 19, 2010; and WHEREAS, SB 857 mandates that for each parking offense where a parking penalty, fine or forFeiture is imposed, an added penalty of $3 shall be included in the total penalty, fine or forfeiture and requires that the City transmit the added $3 penalty to the County treasurer to be deposited in the Trial Court Trust Fund; and WHEREAS, on December 7, 2010 the City Council conducted a public hearing to receive written and oral testimony relative to the Schedule of Parking Penalties for Parking Violations, Late Payment Penalties and Other Parking Fees, which increases certain parking penalties, fines and fees by $3 in order to offset the additional cost imposed by SB 857. NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council approves the attached Exhibit A- Schedule of Parking Penalties for Parking Violations, Late Payment Penalties and Other Parking Fees and by approving the attached Exhibit A the Parking Violations section under the Master Fee Schedule for FY 2010-11 is also amended. Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
