The first case involved the theft of purses with a value of approximately $4,900. The second case involved the theft clothing valued at approximately $850. Detectives contacted the businesses and requested any video footage that could assist with suspect identification. Neither store was able to provide video of the theft. Detectives suspended the investigations due to a lack of available evidence. The cases, however, can be revisited if/when new information comes to light. Detectives investigated an allegation of alleged stalking. The victim was an employee of a local restaurant and reported her ex -boyfriend as the stalker. Detectives attempted to gather information to corroborate the victim's account, but the victim was uncooperative. Regardless, detectives provided the victim with information about obtaining a restraining order. However, without the victim's cooperation, there was insufficient evidence to substantiate an allegation of stalking. Detectives investigated a theft of Apple Air Pods from a spa at a beachside hotel. The Air Pods were traced to the home of a spa employee using the find -my -Air Pods application. Detectives were able to contact the spa employee and recover the Air Pods. The spa worker was fired from her employment as a result of the incident. The victim was satisfied with the return of his Air Pods and refused to prosecute the case. The investigation was closed at the victim's request.
