MI=ES OF T017N COMMISSION, MARCH 5th, 1930.
A regular meeting of the Town Commission of the Town of
Gulf Stream, Florida, was held at the Town Hall of said Town on the
5th day of March, A. D. 1930.
Commissioners DeParlier, Adams and Hoss were present.
The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved.
It was called to the attention of the Commission that the
necessary operating expenses for the Town of Gulf Stream, for the year
1930 would be approximately $550.00
It was also brought to the attention of the Town Commission
that it would be necessary at this meeting to pass a resolution fixing
the milleage to be levied for the year 1930.
The following resolution was offered for adoption, to -wit:
"Whereas, the 1930 tax roll has been equalized, approved and accepted
by the Town Commission, and
"Whereas, the total assessments and valuations placed on
the property, subject to taxation for the year 1930 amounts to
$111,260.00, and
"Whereas, the Town has issued two warrants in the sum of
$1100.00 to the Gulf Stream Golf Club, Inc., and has passed a resolution
authorizing the levyof a special milleage for the purpose of paying
said warrants and interest, and
"Whereas, the Town Commission has carefully considered the
amount necessary to operate the Town f or the ensuing year of 1930 and
has found said amount to be $550.00;
"I1ow, Therefore, Be it resolved by the Town Commission of
the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, that a special tax of ten (10)
mills be levied against all taxable property set up on the 1930 tax
roll for the special purpose of paying the above described warrants
and interest,
"Be it further resolved that a general tax of five (5) mills
be levied against all taxable property set up on the 1930 tax roll
for the purpose of operating and maintaining the Town for the year 1930".
Upon motion duly made and seconded the above and foregoing
resolution was unanimously adopted.
There being no further business to come before the Commission,
the meeting was regularly adjourned.
