Roll Call The City of Tiffin City Council held a work session Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at the City Hall Council Chambers. Mayor Berner called the meeting to order at 5:47 PM. Upon roll being called the following members were present: Skylar Limkemann, Al Havens, Jim Bartels, Eric Schnedler. Absent: Chris Olney. Others present City Administrator Doug Boldt, City Clerk Abigail Hora and others. B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval Motion to approve agenda by Schnedler. Second by Bartels. All ayes, agenda approved. C. Discussion of Fire Marshal Position for the Tiffin Fire Department Discussion: Council Person Limkemann presented information regarding the fire marshal position. Council will discuss this further at the goal setting session next week. D. Update on Pace Properties Downtown Housing Grant Project Discussion: The Faselts gave us an update on the downtown housing grant. E. Discussion and Review of Home Occupation and Commercial Parking Ordinances F. Discussion of Implementing a Snowbird Waiver for Garbage and Recycling G. City Council Reports Discussion: Council Person Schnedler attend the EMA meeting. Council Person Limkemann reported the city was awarded for the fire department. 3. Report Discussion: Public Works Director Brian Detert reported the new plow truck should be ready after the first of the year. 4. Building Official Report Discussion: Building Official Brian Shay reported the final permits for the year are still coming in. 5. s Report Discussion: Recreation Director Frank Haege reported that youth basketball began this past weekend. City Administrator Discussion: City Administrator Doug Boldt discussed the home occupation and commercial parking ordinance. Council will be enforcing the ordinance as written.
