THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
JANUARY 5, 2015
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in special session January 5, 2015 in the
Council Chambers in said City. President Miller presided.
ROLL CALL:
Present were: Doug Goss, Kelley Cruse- Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Don Winget, Larry
Parker, Misty Hollis, Ron Oler and Phil Quinn.
Also in attendance were Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Sally Hutton, Mayor; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk;
Larry Habschmidt; Dave Snow; Diana Pappin; Police Chief Kris and Linda Wolski; Tony Foster,
Metropolitan Development; Nick Wilson; Media; and, Sergeant at Arms.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS:
Councilor Miller opened the floor for nominations for the offices of President and Vice President of the
Richmond Common Council.
Councilor Winget nominated Councilor Oler to serve as President, supported by Councilor Parker.
Councilor Parker moved to close the nominations, supported by Councilor Winget. Upon a vote viva
voce, the motion passed. Upon a vote viva voce, Councilor Oler was elected President.
Councilor Winget nominated Councilor Hollis to serve as Vice President, supported by Councilor Parker.
Councilor Quinn moved to close the nominations, supported by Councilor Winget. Upon a vote viva voce,
the motion passed. Upon a vote viva voce, Councilor Hollis was elected Vice President.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business and a motion duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
