PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE PRAYER BY COUNCILOR WISSEL President Oler called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Present were: Doug Goss, Kelley Cruse- Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Don Winget, Larry Parker, Misty Hollis, Ron Oler and Phil Quinn. Also in attendance were Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; Diana Pappin; Ron Deane; Terry Quinter; Dave Burns; Jonathan Terhaar; Nick Wilson; Dave Snow; Dakota Collins; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; Assistant Fire Chief Tim Brown; Police Chief and Linda Wolski; Mike Reece; Sergeant at Arms; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Councilor Winget moved to approve the minutes of the meeting held February 17, 2015, supported by Councilor Goss. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. PRESENTATIONS, MEMORIALS OR REMONSTRANCES, PETITIONS AND INTRODUCTIONS, MOTIONS, RESOLUTIONS • PARATRANSIT — ROSEVIEW — Mr. Terhaar presented Paratransit with a donation of six golf size umbrellas for use by patrons in inclement weather. Jonathan sells fresh eggs to support his donations to various community organizations. COMMUNICATION FROM THE MAYOR • The Street and Sanitary Departments have done outstanding work during recent snow storms. Thank you. REPORT FROM BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY Minutes of the February 19, 2015, meeting were accepted as presented. REPORTS FROM DEPARTMENT HEADS, STANDING COMMITTEES, SPECIAL COMMITTEES and /or ORGANIZATIONS None MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS None ORDINANCES ON FIRST READING None Common Council Minutes Manh 2, 2015 Page 2 of 2 ORDINANCES ON SECOND READING ORDINANCE NO. 8-2015 —AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2015 BUDGET (Fire Department) The Clerk read Ordinance No. 8 -2015 on second reading by title only. Councilor Oler presented an amended Ordinance using transferring dollars from the Rainy Day Fund in lieu of the General Fund to Fleet Vehicle Repair. Councilor Miller moved to consider the Amended Ordinance, supported by Councilor Cruse- Nicholson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Council President Oler declared Amended Ordinance No. 8 -2015 on second reading and public hearing. There being no comments for or against the Amended Ordinance, Councilor Cruse - Nicholson moved for engrossment of Amended Ordinance No. 8 -2015, supported by Councilor Quinn. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. Councilor Miller moved to advance Amended Ordinance No. 8 -2015 to third and final reading and suspend the rules and read by title only, supported by Councilor Cruse- Nicholson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. The Clerk read Amended Ordinance No. 8 -2015 on third reading by title only. Amended Ordinance No. 8 -2015 was adopted with a 9 -0 roll call vote.
