HomeMy Public PortalAbout2006-076 Resolution Establishing 2006 General Election Absentee Ballot BoardMember Smith introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2006-76 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING 2006 GENERAL ELECTION ABSENTEE BALLOT BOARD WHEREAS, the city anticipates a large number of absentee ballots for the November 7, 2006 General Election; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 203B.13 allows for the establishment of an absentee ballot board to process and examine absentee return envelopes prior to Election Day; and WHEREAS, Dustin Finke, Jodi Wunsch, Pat Velch and Rose Dykhoff have expressed interest in serving on the absentee ballot board; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that an absentee ballot board of the abovementioned individuals be established for the 2006 General Election; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that those election judges whom serve on the absentee ballot board be paid as temporary employees a wage of $10.00 per hour with no benefits.
