HomeMy Public PortalAbout2006-080 Resolution Est Health Reimbursement Arrangement PlanMember Weir introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2006-80 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING HEALTH REIMBURSEMENT ARRANGEMENT PLAN WHEREAS, the City Council deems it be advisable to provide a health expense reimbursement arrangement ("Plan") for certain current and former employees of the City of Medina; WHEREAS, such Plan is intended to be a Health Reimbursement Arrangement ("HRA") within Sections 105 and 106 the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 ("Code") and in accordance with Revenue Ruling 2002-41 (June 26, 2002); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council hereby authorizes establishment of the Plan effective January 1, 2007. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this City Council hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and Administrator -Clerk of the City of Medina to act on behalf of the City of Medina in accomplishing the establishment of the Plan, including but not limited to executing the documents once finalized, and such person or persons be authorized to do whatever else is necessary to accomplish this objective.
