RESOLUTION NO. 18-9587
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, APPOINTING AN ACTING CITY
MANAGER DUE TO THE DEPARTURE OF YVETTE
HARRELL AS CITY MANAGER; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, due to actions taken by the City Commission at the December 12,
2018 meeting, Yvette Harrell will no longer serve as City Manager as of December 12, 2018;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, pursuant to Article III, Section 3.4 of the City
Charter, appoints Newall J. Daughtrey as Acting City Manager; and
WHEREAS, the Commission believes that it is in the best interest of the City to
appoint Newall J. Daughtrey as Acting City Manager.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference;
Section 2. Newall J. Daughtrey is hereby appointed Acting City Manager.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption and is
subject to the approval of the Governor or his designee
